MESSAGE FROM VSUK PRESIDENT
Dear Veerashaivas,
I am honoured to serve the VSUK, - an organisation which I am proud of, as president. I would like to thank our past president, Dr Mangala Mundasad, and the office bearers for their dedication to the Samaja during the last two years.
We, the newly elected body (Navaratnas-Ninegems) will serve the samaja at our best and promote the aims of the organisation. We are a small organisation but an extended family. When we meet, it gives us a great pleasure to see each other, an opportunity to exchange ideas, and to share our successes and achievements of our kith and kin.
In Great Britain presently we have sixtyfour life members. In recent years new families have moved in and joined our association. Many of our children are now grown up professionals and married, and are doing very well. I am very happy and proud of them. I request them to become lifemembers of the samaja. Let us go forward together and be helpful to each other. A sense of belonging, the most important aspect will develop and continue in the days to come.
We welcome our VSUK members and also VSNA, Basava Samithi members from India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and elsewhere to attend our forth-coming events.
Sharanu Sharanarthi,
Dr Aruna Sanikop

Veerashaiva Samaja of United Kingdom ( VSUK) is a registered charity founded in 1988 in the UK committed to the doctrine of Veerashaivism the faith of Lingayats. The followers of the faith meet every year in different venues in UK over the August bank holiday week-end. They participate in discussions to learn more about their faith as taught by of 12th Century scholars and social reformers otherwise known as Sharanas in their literature. Sri Basava, Sri Allamaprabhu, Sri Chennamallikarjuna and Akka Mahadevi etc. are the leading lights of the faith.
VSUK and its counterpart in America called VSNA work in close collaboration to propagate the Veerashaiva faith world-wide. More recently Veerashaiva Samajas have been founded in Europe, Far East and Australia. VSUK has forged links with all these organisations and visitors to our website vsuk.org.uk can visit these Samajas using our Favourite Links.
The followers of Veerashaivism support VSUK in the form of membership fees, further voluntary contributions and participation in fund raising events . The membership is open to those who all believe in or those who are interested to know more about the Veerashaivism. The present office bearers and the details of the organisation can be found in the directory in this website.
